BCPO seized P900K worth of drugs in 14 days

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized an estimated P989, 015.19 worth of illegal drugs from November 1 to 14.

Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana, public information officer of BCPO, in a press briefing at the headquarters Thursday, November 15, said that 26 persons were arrested in 18 police operations covering the same period.

Of the total number, one was a high-value target and 25 were newly-identified drug personalities.

A total of 48 cases were filed.

Gabana said a total of 63.2801 grams of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P949, 201.50 were confiscated while 173.103 grams of marijuana worth P39, 813.69 were seized.

Meanwhile, the BCPO has also conducted 10 operations against illegal gambling which resulted to the apprehension of 35 persons. Ten cases were filed.

On the campaign against wanted persons, 15 operations were conducted and 15 persons were also arrested in the station level.

Of the total number, three most wanted persons and 12 other wanted persons were arrested. (GYM)
