AT LEAST 63 teams throughout Northern Mindanao will see action in the 14th Season Opening of the St. Ignatius de Loyola Cup on Sunday, November 18 at the Xavier University gym in Cagayan de Oro City.
Tournament organizer Arvin Martinez said the pre-christmas offering with the theme “Kadula Ka Nako, Dili Kontra,” will have a press briefing at 10 a.m. before the ceremonial rites at 1 p.m.
Games start at 1:30 pm with Wilson as the official ball.
“Adunay mga pakulo nga first time pa mahitabo sa atong annually-held nga Loyola Cup. Busa akong gi-imbitahan atong mga higala sa prensa pag-attend sa Coaches Press Conference,” Martinez told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro.
Martinez said there will be 63 teams from 37 schools to compete in five age groups, or the involvement of 7 cities, 3 municipalities, 5 provinces and 4 regions in the prestigious event.
Participating schools come from Cagayan de Oro, Claveria, Misamis Oriental, Iligan, Marawi, Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte, Dipolog, Malaybalay, Valencia and Maramag in Bukidnon and Butuan City.
