THE Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS), the biggest public school in Cagayan de Oro, dominated the second season of the CDOC Inter-Public Schools Basketball Championship 2018 concluded, over the weekend, at Barangay Macasandig covered court here.

But while four of MOGCHS’ teams made it to the finals in secondary’s different age categories, the City High (CDO-NHS) Tigers made it sure to secure the only spot available for them in the championship round.

The Tigers of coach Bismark Labadan won’t go home empty-handed as they overpowered the MOGCHS

Cavaliers in the final to bag the 17-under title.

This, as the MOGCHS Legends of coach Ian Lorenzana proceed to pocketing the 15-under crown and their distaff counterpart -- the MOGCHS BBG of coach Agustin Yasay claimed the secondary girls’ diadem at the expense of compatriot lady MOGCHS Cavaliers.

“The lady Skyhawks of Indahag used to dominate the secondary girls rivalry, pero nag-graduate na ang mga saligando so, balik na sab montar in a bid to challenge the hugely-populated MOGCHS,” said tournament director Raul Fuentes.

The East City Central School defeated Bulua Central School to reign in the elementary boys division.
