1 killed in Kauswagan drug bust

A DRUG suspect whom the police claimed to be involved in a series of robbery incidents was killed in a pre-dawn drug bust after he allegedly fought back and resisted arrest in Zone 5, Kauswagan, this city, Friday, November 16.

Anti-illegal drug operatives killed Jimboy Amodia after a brief exchange of gunfire.

He sustained three gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body and was rushed to the hospital but did not get there alive.

Authorities seized three sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," 38 caliber revolver owned by the suspect and live bullets.

Again, operatives said it was the suspect who opened fire after noticing that the buyer was an undercover policeman.

Alacantara said the area where the transaction was made was said to be a drug den and that illegal drug activities happened in the area.

He also said the suspect has numerous criminal records such as homicide and robbery cases.

Alcantara said the suspect has no regular job aside apart from selling the dangerous drugs.

The suspect was the 13th drug suspect killed in the city.
