Lopsided wins in NBTC openers

BIG winners in last week's National Basketball Training Center Bacolod leg opening games will be tested on November 17, when favorite junior teams take the floor at St. John's Activity Center in Bacolod City.

Bacolod City National High School which dumped Sum-ag National High School, 102-60, and clamped Bacolod Christian Center of Negros(BCCN), 96-77, last week will be tested by University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos at 8:30 a.m.

The University of St. La Salle, likewise will challenge Silay Institute (SI) at 10 a.m. SI forfeited its first game against Colegio San Agustin and will try to bounce back.

Bacolod Tay Tung High School shoots the ball against Luisa Medel National High School, 83-50, winner over BCCN at 1 p.m. with the Thunderbolts expected to torch the first-timers from Barangay Tangub.

At 2:30 p.m., Negros Occidental High School (NHS), which upset Escalante National High School, 75-58, in the opening game is eyeing for its second victory against Trinity Christian School which was beaten, 74-58, by La Consolacion College on Sunday.

The junior Blue Panthers is set to play against Escalante NHS at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 18, to be followed by STI-West Negros University against University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos. Living Stone International School and Trinity Christian School take the floor at 1 p.m., while St. John’s Institute, with 104-65 victor over Sum-ag NHS, will be the main game at 2:30 against the winless Bacolod Christian College of Negros.

The games are played every weekend.
