NegOcc named 2nd most competitive province in W. Visayas

Lina Sanogal, Jhen Medina of the Negros Occidental Provincial Economic Development and Investment Center, and Gerin Vergara, senior trade and industry development specialist of Department of Trade and Industry-Negros Occidental at the 2nd Regional Development Council-6 regional ceremony of Competitive local government units held in Iloilo City.

NEGROS Occidental was named Second Most Competitive Province in Western Visayas during the 2nd Regional Development Council(RDC)-6 regional ceremony of competitive LGUs in Iloilo City on November 16.

Donna Rose Ratilla, co-chairperson of the RDC–6, and Ma. Luisa Segovia, chairperson of the Regional Investment Coordination Committee, led the giving of the awards to the winning LGUs.

Negros Occidental Provincial Planning and Development coordinator Ma. Lina Sanogal received the award in behalf of Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., together with Jhen Medina of the Provincial Economic Development and Investment Center.

Also present in the activity were Assistant Secretary Demphna Du-Naga of DTI Regional Operations Group, DTI regional director Rebecca Rascon and assistant regional director Ermelinda Pollentes.(PR)
