Cop kills colleague inside NCR Police office

A POLICEMAN was killed by his fellow officer inside the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) headquarters in Taguig City in what is believed to be a love triangle case, NCRPO Director Guillermo Eleazar said.

Eleazar identified the victim as Police Officer 1 Mark Carlo Pasamba, 29, who was assigned at the 4th Mobile Force Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB).

He was allegedly shot dead by Police Officer 1 Carlos Alberto Aljama, 31, who is assigned at the Admin Holding Unit of the RMFB.

Aljama was charged with murder. He will also be administratively charged with grave misconduct.

Eleazar said that at around 8:35 a.m. of November 17, Saturday, Aljama shot Pasamba along the stretch of 2nd street, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan in Taguig City.

“According to (the) witnesses, Aljama angrily confronted the victim and shouted ‘p*t*ng *na mo, Pasamba’ then drew his gun and shot PO1 Pasamba,” said Eleazar.

The victim sustained three gunshot wounds on his upper torso which caused his death.

The suspect, who was immediately apprehended by his fellow officers immediately after the incident, is now under the custody of Taguig City Police Station for proper disposition of the case.

Eleazar said that based on the initial interview of the suspect, his wife and the victim were having an affair. The wife is also a police officer assigned at RMFB.

He said the angle of love triangle is being considered as the motive of the shooting. (SunStar Philippines)
