THE brand new patrol vehicles donated by the South Korean government for the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) will be formally turned over Monday, November 19, during the flag raising ceremony at the City Hall.

Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan, DCPO spokesperson, said the state-of-the-art vehicles and facilities are a big help in the Philippine National Police’s effort to modernize police units in the country as part of their anti-criminality campaign for them to be more capable in crime prevention.

The donated patrol vehicles are composed of 12 brand new units of Hyundai Elantra and two Starex vans which are part of the official development assistance (ODA) of South Korea to the Philippines through the Korea International Cooperation Agency.

These vehicles will be distributed to different police stations in the city as an addition to their mobility assets to further enhance police visibility in the city streets and quicker police response especially now that holiday season is fast approaching.

Davao City was chosen to be the beneficiary as it is one of the cities that accommodate Korean community.
