Nurse’s murder may be close to being solved

CEBU CITY POLICE OFFICE (CCPO) investigators have identified two persons of interest who may have been involved in the murder of a call center nurse in Barangay Bacayan, Cebu City last Saturday, Nov. 17.

“They are being investigated right now,” said Senior Supt. Royina Garma, the CCPO director. “Lumalabas na ‘too much love will kill you.’”

Investigators have obtained footage captured by closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras of three business establishments.

Garma hopes the videos will help solve the murder of Cristina Jayson, who was shot dead by an unidentified assailant while she was walking toward her house inside Joseville Subdivision.

The police official thanked the business establishments for cooperating with the police.

Garma did not divulge the identities of the two persons of interest as it might affect their investigation.

Jayson’s former boyfriend was interviewed by Talamban police, but he denied any part in Jayson’s murder.

He said he was drinking beer with his friends at the time of the incident.

Jayson was the second employee of a call center to be killed in Cebu City in the past 45 days.

Last Oct. 3, Loraine Temple was shot dead by two robbers in Barangay Mabolo. (KAL)
