CLASSES for Tuesday, November 19, in some public and private schools in Cebu were suspended, and boat trips from the province to some areas in the country were cancelled due to Tropical Depression Samuel.

Samuel is expected to make a landfall over the Eastern Visayas-Caraga area Tuesday afternoon or evening, November 20, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In anticipation of Samuel's landfall, Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III announced Monday, November 19, that there will be no classes in all public schools from pre-school to senior high school in Cebu Province.
