MICMIC MIRANDA and Emi Osada held off their respective foes in the championship game to win the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (Cetba) Friday Group 2018 Bowler of the Year crowns at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center on Friday night, Nov. 16.
Miranda outlasted Marvin Sevilla, 210-198, in the championship match to win the coveted men’s title, while Osada sneaked past Baby Bacon in two games, 179-184, 170-143, for the women’s crown.
Both Miranda and Osada earned the automatic finals berth and were armed with a twice-to-beat edge as an incentive for topping the six-game series qualifying with scores of 809 and 669.
In the knockout semifinals, the third-seeded Sevilla scored 180 to beat second-seeded Ronald Bantilan and fourth-seeded Docdoc Gothong, who tallied scores of 177 and 147, respectively. (RSC)
