A PREEMPTIVE evacuation has been ordered for residents of Sitio Sandayong, Barangay Buhisan, a landslide-prone area, in preparation for Tropical Depression Samuel.

The barangay has been identified as a landslide-prone area.

Just recently, residents expressed concern after a huge crack that runs down the mountainside looks to have gotten bigger. The crack is a fissure brought about by the magnitude 7.2 earthquake in 2013.

At least 29 families will be evacuated and will take temporary shelter in the barangay hall.

The Cebu City Government will be giving them rice packs at the evacuation center. (RTF and PAC of SuperBalita)
