Garbo shares governance award to constituents

MABALACAT City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo has shared to his constituents the city government's latest award, the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) which was awarded by the Department of Interior and Local Government Central Luzon.

"Caluguran kung Mabalaqueno, queca ya ini (My beloved Mabalaqueno, this award is for you)," Garbo said.

The city mayor said the people of Mabalacat deserve a transparent government and quality service.

"We have implemented various programs on health services, infrastructure development, peace order so that the people will feel that there is a local government that will take care of them," Garbo said.

Other local government units in Central Luzon that were awarded by the DILG include the provincial government of Bulacan, Mariveles town in Bataan, Plaridel in Bulacan, Floridablanca town in Pampanga, Guagua town in Pampanga, San Luis in Pampanga and Victoria town in Tarlac.

The eight local government units were awarded for being consistent SGLG passers and recipients of Performance Challenge Fund PCF grant for at least three consecutive years.

The 2018 SGLG national awarding was at the Manila Hotel recently.

The PCF is a reward and incentive scheme for LGUs that pass the SGLG. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
