Tell it to SunStar: Stop being fanatics

MY FATHER was a fanatic Roman Catholic Church member. He became a lay minister and participated in every church activity. Then a certain monsignor suspected him of dipping his hands into the collection pouches. Words on his suspicion reached my father through other lay ministers. He got depressed because his honesty was doubted.

He stopped going to the Catholic church. And later on my parents transferred to the Baptist Church. We, their 10 children, were divided. Five who were already married remained Catholics. The unmarried five children joined our parents.

I realized that all religions are expert in fattening the ego of the members to make them milking cows.

Then my eldest daughter married a man who is a serious Adventist. One year later, she submitted for baptism to the church of her husband. Of course, with my blessing, because I told her that it was her Constitutional freedom and right to choose her own religion. Then I told her that I am not a fanatic Catholic because I know the definition in the Bible of what is True Religion.

I advised her not to become a fanatic member of any organized religion because all religions are man-made. Your faith in God and Jesus is your own and the one that matters.

No true religion exists today. And the only true religion is the one defined in James 1:27. That verse has been there since all seminaries and Bible schools opened 500 years ago. But not one religious group ever mentioned or discussed this with their members. They hid the truth, which cannot be substituted by fake or false ones.

How come? All organized religions are biased in favor of their group and not in favor of the truth. So they are all hypocrites and deceivers. I told my daughter, “You ought to know the truth so that you will be free from being fooled, swindled, deceived and becoming a hypocrite and deceiver yourself.

All organized religions are being corrupted by the world. (Chito E. Germino, Mandaue City)
