BOAT trips that were cancelled due to Tropical Depression Samuel will be allowed to travel Wednesday, November 21.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that Tropical Depression Samuel has left the Visayan Sea and is headed toward Iloilo province.
With this, the Philippine Coast Guard Station in Cebu and Bohol lifted the temporary cancellation of boat trips going to southern Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, Negros Oriental, Southern Leyte, Camotes Group of Islands, Misamis Oriental, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Dinagat Island Province, and Camiguin.
The Philippine Coast Guard reminded all operators of passenger vessels to take extra precautionary measures at all times.
Bus trips to Zambonga, Dumaguete, and Bacolod are now available, according to Cebu South Bus Terminal Management.
As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, the center of Samuel was estimated at 90 kilometers east southeast of Roxas City, Capiz. It is moving west at 30 kilometers per hour (km/h) with a maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gusts of up to 70 km/h.
Still in Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 1 are Masbate including Ticao Island, Romblon, southern Oriental Mindoro, southern Occidental Mindoro, Palawan including Cuyo Island and Calamian Group of Islands, Biliran, Leyte, northern Cebu, northern Negros Occidental, Guimaras, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, and Antique.
