8 nabbed for drugs in 2 cities

EIGHT persons were arrested in separate drug bust operations at the cities of Bacolod and La Carlota in Negros Occidental on November 18 and 19.

In Bacolod City, Rona Saldua, 28; Liezl Largo, 28, both residents of Barangay 2; Rodalyn Maraviles, 23, Barangay Bata; Mark Cesar Galo, 35, of Barangay Estefania, and a female minor, whose name was withheld, were arrested at Purok Cagaycay, Barangay 2 on November 19, which resulted to the recovery of 12 sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P240,000, the P1,000 marked money, coin purse, and a metal box.

All suspects are identified as street-level targets (SLTs), a press release from Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) said.

Also arrested in the city over the weekend for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs were Christopher Siocon, 24, of Barangay Mandalagan, an SLT; and Rikki Dioteles of Barangay 10.

In La Carlota City, a 17-year-old boy was arrested at Barangay 3 on November 18. He allegedly yielded a sachet of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and the P200 marked money. He is a fourth top drug personality of La Carlota City Police Station. (GYM)
