SOME 1,000 participants registered for the HB1 Neon Night Fun Run: A 5K Running Electronic Music Festival that will hit the road on Saturday in an out-and-back course from the NCCC Mall Davao parking lot as of yesterday presstime.
HB1 marketing supervisor Andrea Leyson, in yesterday's edition of the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the NCCC Mall Davao Food Cove Function Hall, said they have yet to collect the registration from the different HB1 branches but she said they already have reached the 1,000 mark and they are expected to hit 2,000 during the event.
"We have already coordinated with the Traffic Management Center (TMC) to assist us in decongesting the traffic during the event since we will be closing a portion of the road going to the Department of Local and Interior Government (DILG). We also have around 40 marshals who will help us," Leyson said.
She also said that the stage is already set for the after party which will feature well-renowned DJ Patty Tiu of Deuce Manila as well as local DJs Wacky Masbad and Tien Batu.
Leyson added that there are a lot of surprises in store for winners and participants during the event.
Registration is pegged at P400 inclusive of singlet, race bib, finisher's kit, certificate and glow bracelet. Registrants could also get products from sponsors including Procter and Gamble, Safeguard, Rexona, Unilab, Nestle, Selecta, NCCC Mall, NCCC Cinema, B3 at P50.
Registration is still open at any HB1 branch.
