Helicopter crash-lands in Tarlac

A HELICOPTER carrying a party-list representative crash-landed on a cliff in Capas, Tarlac on Thursday afternoon, November 22.

An initial report from the Northern Luzon Command said the helicopter was carrying four crewmembers and eight passengers, including Coop-NAtcc Representative Anthony Bravo.

The aircraft made an emergency landing at a military observation post in Sitio Durungawan, Sta. Juliana, Capas, Tarlac around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Former House secretary general Cesar Pareja, who was one of the passengers, confirmed the incident.

“Thanks for your prayers. The pilot suffered head injuries and the crew has a broken arm. I have minor scratches along with most of the passengers. The helicopter crashed just as we were about to land in Crow Valley,” Pareja said in an interview with reporters.

According to the report, the helicopter was ferrying participants to the ongoing Legislative Stakeholder Engagement activity.

The report said the status of the passengers has yet to be determined. (SunStar Philippines)
