7th PH eagle nesting site

THE seventh nesting site of a Philippine Eagle was spotted by Lumad forest guards at Mt. Apo.

Jayson C. Ibañez, director for Research and Conservation of the Philippine Eagle Foundation, said in a phone interview Thursday, November 22, that the forest guards have spotted a female Philippine Eagle believed to be between seven to eight months old.

He declined to disclose the exact location of the eagle to protect it.

"Ang significant kasi diyan, yung mga Philippine Eagle natin very loyal sila on the places where they breed (The significance about that is our Philippine eagles are very loyal on the places where they breed)," Ibañez said.

He said this was a very exciting discovery because this shows that there are still eagles at Mount Apo and they are breeding.
