Negros Occidental cops undergo drug test

ALL personnel of police stations in Negros Occidental underwent random drug tests in two weeks.

Senior Inspector Aireen Cordua, public information officer of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), said policemen from all police stations in southern Negros underwent the test last week while those from northern Negros also took the same test from November 19 to 23.

Members of the Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company also submitted their urine samples for the same test this week.

The Provincial Crime Laboratory went to various police stations to facilitate the drug test.

Cordua said they received an order from the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame to conduct drug test in all policemen as part of the organization’s internal cleansing program.

Nocppo is continuously monitoring the possible involvement of police in illegal drugs through conducting drug test. (GYM)
