Traffic office to close part of Osmeña Blvd.

THE Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) will implement a partial road closure in a portion of Fuente Osmeña and Osmeña Blvd. on Sunday, Nov. 25, for the solemn Eucharistic celebration and the solemn procession of the “Solemnity of Christ the King.”

CCTO Operations Chief Francisco Ouano said half of the downtown-bound lane of Osmeña Blvd.—from the Fuente Osmeña Circle toward the downtown area along Colon St. and the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral—will not be accessible starting 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25.

Although half of that Osmeña Blvd. lane will still be open, Ouano said the CCTO will reroute some public utility jeepneys (PUJs).

PUJs from Barangay Guadalupe will have to take V. Rama Ave. in going to the Carbon Public Market area and vice versa.

PUJs from Barangays Bulacao, Pardo and Labangon traveling along N. Bacalso Ave., will have to right to Leon Kilat St., right turn to Sanciangko St. or Borromeo St., then back to their usual route.

Public vehicles from Barangays Lahug and Apas and Ayala Center Cebu passing along N. Escario St. will have to turn left to Juana Osmeña St., right to Gen. Maxilom Ave., left to F. Ramos St. RVC
