MARKING yet another year, siblings Carla Mckowen and Martin Yeung—who chose to celebrate in a joint birthday bash in style at The Pig & Palm—looked every inch incredible that evening! The celebrants were each treated to a birthday cake, a Chanel bag design for Carla and a Superman-themed one for Martin, who gladly blew out their candles to a singing and clapping crowd of guests!
Everyone was in for an exciting evening, for the birthday event featured a range of tasty dishes full of flavor all created by the restaurant’s new British head chef Jamie Doe, who flew in directly from the United Kingdom (his first time ever in The Philippines) and who was previously based in one of Jason Atherton’s restaurants in London, City Social. Specializing in hand-painted and beaded Kaftans, pants and bags, Monina Ouano launched the brand Monique’s Couture in an event full of creativity and music!
Demonstrating her collection was a throng of models who lit up the runway to showcase the creations ready for the retail rack. This memorable couture show, with a bit of quirky fashion sense on the side, was held at Anzani Prime.
Highlighting the brand, Monina also shared a gushing and thoughtful message to all invited guests, as she celebrated this amazing milestone with them.
