EACH town police station in Misamis Oriental will be provided with security camera after the scheduled distribution of body cameras before the year ends.
Governor Yevgeny Emano said he will make the purchase of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras as a priority to help the police in every municipality solve crimes swiftly.
The budget will be coming from the governor's intelligence and peace and order fund and the procurement is set next year as the capitol scheduled first the distribution of body cameras for each town police station before the year ends.
Emano said police officials have requested his office for a CCTV camera to help intensify public security and safety across the province.
He said security cameras would capture the circumstances of a crime and catch lawless elements, including communist rebels who plan to launch attacks, while the body cameras are helpful in erasing the doubts of irregularities during anti-illegal drug operations.
The governor said the security camera may be installed outside the police station or any strategic area of the town.
"Next year ato nang ihatag ang CCTV camera. Dili man nato magahom nga madugang karon nga tuig kay ato sa itunol ang mga body camera para sa police operation," Emano said.
The capitol's top official has directed the close coordination between the town officials and the police to ensure peace and order is maintained which is the key to further development through the flagship program on tourism.
