CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Hundreds of backyard breeders and livestock experts flocked at the city’s 4th Farm Link Expo over the weekend at the Mini Convention Center.

The two day-expo was organized by the City Government of San Fernando, through its City Agriculture and Veterinary Office (CAVO), led by CAVO Agriculturist and Head Cristina Sangumay.

The event included activities such as children talk with fighting cock consultants, pigeon show, sabong standardization and gaffing seminar, inter-barangay cock show, and an awarding.

CAVO Veterinarian and Organizer Ryan Paul “Doc Poy” Manlapaz said the event is aimed to teach the participants the latest technologies regarding cockfighting and the right selling of breeding materials for their own lifestyle and business.

Manlapaz also revealed that the said expo began on October 2014.

Breeder and Organizer Benerito Aldana said the event forms a link between breeders and future buyers, and provide new knowledge to the backyard breeders to improve their businesses through seminars.

Some local companies including Thunderbird, B-Meg, KingSlasher, Warhawk, Chareon Polkphand Foods Thailand (CPF), Hercules, Incubox, and Top Cock also took part in the event, by selling their own products to the participants.
