More than P100,000 'shabu' seized

AN ESTIMATED P119,500 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu was seized from nine persons in separate drug busts in Negros Occidental from November 23 to 24.

In San Carlos City, Herondio Aguirre, 30, of Barangay 1; and Aldin Visitacion, 32, of Barangay 6 were arrested at Ylagan Extension in Barangay 6 on November 24.

The police recovered five grams of suspected shabu amounting to P60,000, cellular phone, drug paraphernalia, and the P1,200 marked money.

Both are high-value targets and alleged members of Virtucio drug group.

In Bacolod City, Joshua Pedrina was collared at Magsungay, Barangay Singcang-Airport on Saturday, November 24, after he allegedly yielded four sachets of suspected shabu weighing two grams worth P30,000, drug paraphernalia, the P500 marked money, and P400 in cash.

In a separate operation in Bacolod on that day, Rico Malala, a newly-identified drug personality was also arrested at Barangay 9 for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.

Police confiscated from him eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing two grams worth P25,000, and the P500 marked money.

In Toboso town, Jason Suelan, 18, of Proper Bug-ang was arrested in the said area over the weekend

The police recovered four sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, the P500 marked money, and a motorcycle.

On November 23, Rodolfo Publico and William Gavaran were arrested at Barangay San Pedro, Binalbagan town after reportedly engaging in a drug transaction with a police agent.

Police recovered from both suspects three sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,500, the P300 marked money, and a lighter.

In Escalante City, Rene Flores, 43, of Barangay Balintawak was arrested in the said village on Friday, November 23, after police seized from him five sachets of suspected shabu, and the P500 marked money.

Flores is a top seven target drug personality of Escalante City Police Station and is being linked to a drug lord in San Carlos City.

Also arrested on the same day was Reggie Tolones, 40, of Barangay Tabao Rizal, San Enrique town after he allegedly yielded four sachets of suspected shabu, P320 in cash, and a wallet. He is also a drug surrenderer. (GYM)
