Cacao Congress set today

THE City of San Fernando will once against host the annual Regional Cacao Congress to be held today, November 27, at the Kingsborough Convention Center here.

The Cacao congress organized by the Kapampangan Development Foundation will gather cacao industry stakeholders in an aim to establish stronger linkages for sustainable and inclusive growth of the cacao industry in the region.

It also aims to assist cacao growers and stakeholders in promoting the products and growing industry of cacao in the local market, particularly local chocolate manufacturers.

The one-day event will also feature several cacao experts in Luzon that will provide updates on the growth of cacao’s industry in Luzon and their projection on the potential of cacao products in the market.

A trade fair and exhibit of products made of cacao, particularly chocolate products, is also open to the public at the lobby of the convention center.

The Cacao Congress is co-hosted by the Department of Trade and Industry, and supported by the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., Department of Agriculture, Alyansa Agrikultura, Philippine Information Agency, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Education, and Commission on Higher Education.
