Apalit students get educational assistance from former lawmaker

SOME 75 deserving high school students from Sulipan High School in Apalit town received P60,000 educational assistance from former Board Member Ricardo Yabut.

Yabut visited the said high school over the weekend to personally present the assistance to the said students.

"This assistance aims to lessen the burden of education cost for the parents. It also aims to inspire students to pursue their studies," Yabut said.

He said that there is now a greater need to further support the education sector of the district.

Yabut is challenging incumbent 4th District Representative Juan Pablo “Rimpy” Bondoc for the congressional seat in the coming 2019 polls.

Yabut vowed to continue social programs for Pampanga's fourth district. He will also file laws for out-of-school youth to give them more access to education.

Yabut was a former three-term board member and consistently earned the highest number of votes.

As provincial legislator, Yabut was one of the top performing board members in the province. His legislative agenda focused on environment, education, health, and infrastructure.

He is considered among the leading political figures and among the most visible in the fourth district.

Yabut is an active member and former president of the Rotary Club of Central Pampanga, Manila Lingkod Bayan Lions Club and other non-government groups in the province.
