VICTORIAS City officials led by Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca welcomed their guests from Nanjo City, Japan led by Mayor Chobin Zukeran during the flag raising rites held at the city public plaza Monday morning, November 26.
Palanca expressed elation that their guests came over to Victorias City to strengthen foreign ties insofar as organic agriculture and ecotourism are concerned.
Zukeran said that on their way to Victorias City from their hotel, he felt so much energy from the country.
"I saw people going to work and going to school taking either by bus, bicycle and or tricycle. Your country has so much energy. So enormous and I believe that your country is going to move up and up and forever," he said.
“Our partnership was established in September 2014 and its focus was to strengthen organic agriculture and marketing of organic products as well as intensifying agriculture, ecotourism in order to promote the entire development of Victorias City,” Palanca said.
"Over the past four years, we have produced many outcomes such as the establishment of organic agriculture products, open up organic market and conducted a model tour on the plan to build Okinawa in the house here. We have achieved success including your Mayor Palanca and all the officials of Victorias City. When Mayor Palanca visited us about two weeks ago, he mentioned three important things such as the importance of agriculture, the importance of education and the importance of staying healthy by eating vegetables which I fully agree with that point,” Zukeran said.
“We will promote the sustainable development of Victorias City and we expect that our exchanges will expand to various fields,” he added.
"I wish him and this city more success and happiness including those who came here in your beautiful city," he added.
