SM Pampanga to light 'biggest lantern of hope' this weekend

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- SM City Pampanga will once again light its “Pampanga Eye” this weekend, transforming it into the “Biggest Lantern of Hope" on Saturday night, December 1.

The mall is also set to stage an impressive grand pyro musical show with the giant observation wheel as main backdrop for the fireworks attractions that is expected to draw hundreds of spectators.

Now on its fourth year, SM City Pampanga’s Biggest Lantern of Hope brings light and music to the Christmas Capital of the Philippines.

The Pampanga Eye, the biggest and tallest ferris wheel in the Philippines, is set to light up this holiday season through a pyro musical show as it brightens the sky in a grand magical firework display with colorful dancing lights synced with the all-time favorite Christmas carols.

At the same time, it will showcase video images to cap off SM’s 60th Anniversary celebrations.

With this, the 65-meter (or 213 feet) tall ferris wheel is set to sparkle with 12,232 dancing led lights as well as an on-ground and aerial fireworks.

On December 1, park guests can enjoy a spectacular 10-minute pyro technic musical show that will take place at The Amphitheatre starting 6:30 p.m.

The Sky Ranch at SM City Pampanga is the first amusement park in North Luzon that brings great family fun with exhilarating rides, and exciting games where, park guests can bring home stuffed toys and other prizes.

The park is open to the public from 12 noon to midnight on weekends and 3 p.m. and midnight on weekdays.

The Biggest Lantern of Hope is one of the many exciting holiday attractions of SM City Pampanga.
