NO ONE is too old to enjoy Disneyland. That I can personally attest to. The happiest place in the planet can welcome anyone and everyone, and receive the same loving welcome from Mickey and his crew, especially this Christmas.

This year’s holiday season is extra special for Hong Kong Disneyland Resort because they’re having a dual celebration: “A Disney Christmas”, where everyone can experience Christmastime with a Disney-style glow; and second, “World’s Biggest Mouse Party,” to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary.

Why you should be at the joint celebration? Here’s eight reasons why:

1. The Fantasy Gardens Wintertime Market. It’s a brand new holiday market where you can shop for gifts and treats amid giant Christmas ornaments, twinkling lights and a sprinkling of snow. This is one of the ideal spots to have a photo with our Disney friends.

2. The Mickey and Friends Christmastime Ball. It’s a 20-minute musical extravaganza that features live vocals, dancing and music with the Disney characters in Christmas outfits. A little magic happens at the end of the performance—snowfall!

3. “A Magical Twilight Snowfall”. A brand-new, 18-meter tall Christmas tree, which features beautiful ornaments and LED lights with special glowing effects, will light up Main Street. Mickey and friends will wish for snow and their wish will be granted.

4. Have a photo with the Disney characters in their holiday garb. You favorite Disney pal, plus Cookie, donning their special winter outfits, will be in different locations to meet and greet everyone. Goofy will play Santa.

5. Feast on Christmas delicacies. The restaurants across the park have amped their Christmas menu with 80 more delights and drinks. This will make the Christmas meal more festive.

6. Christmas shopping spree. What is Christmas without shopping for gifts? The stores will be packed with over 100 seasonal merchandise items. Remember the items are seasonal, so grab the unique goodies.

7. Sleep overs are more special at the Disney hotels. Why? The Christmas spirit is alive in every corner of the hotel and room! There are Christmas activities happening in the themed hotels, like a “Disney Snowman Cupcake Class” at the Explorers Lodge. A complimentary collectible souvenir set, including a Christmas-themed amenity box. Staying in any of the themed hotels will complete you holiday experience!

8. Last and not the least, celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary. This makes this year’s seasonal festivities extra sweet. To start the thrill, the resort created four new park admission ticket designs, featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto. There’s a line-up of exciting events across the resort, including a “We Love Mickey” projection show birthday edition.

Cathay Pacific made it easier for us to get to Hong Kong and reach the Disneyland Resort. Cathay Dragon flies four times a week from Davao direct to Hong Kong.
