HOW would you like to share your treasure with the marginalized this season? Here’s one way: The super passionate and dedicated members of the Zonta Club of Cebu 2 (Zontians) have grouped themselves to form a caroling bunch, ready to raise funds for a very worthy cause.

Zonta is a worldwide organization whose purpose is to empower women through service and advocacy, with the end in view of advancing their status in the community. We would like to add that one of its most salient campaigns is “No To Violence Against Women and Girls.”

The Zontians are rarin’ to visit your homes/offices to bring familiar, well-loved Yuletide tunes. Remember, your donations will go a long way to make a woman or girl safe from abuse or violence this season. It could happen to anyone, God forbid, even to one of your own! So, give, give till it hurts. The Zontians express an advanced, grateful thank you!

It has become a tradition that everyone anticipates... the lighting of the 32-foot Christmas tree at Radisson Blu Cebu. This year did not disappoint. The regal tree engulfed the cavernous lobby into a wonderland of blue, teal and silver... an appropriate theme for “Christmas Classics.”

Brand ambassador of SM Hotels, Nestor Jardin, orchestrated the entire production starting with that classical crossover quartet Opus One, who brought the house down with its unique, professional showmanship!

Kudos to Opus One members Fonzy Mendoza, Obel Alalong, Jos Jalbuena and Lorenzo Mendoza. We loved your rendition of “Impossible Dream” and “O Holy Night.”

Adding to the cultural glamor of the evening were numbers by the world-renowned Mandaue Children and Youth Choir and Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra.

We’re sure that the hotel’s beloved guests, clients, business partners, media friends etc. had the treat of a lifetime!

Merry Christmas, all!
