CHRISTMAS is fast approaching but Cebuanos are not looking forward to the snowy days—and for an obvious reason: there’s no winter season in the Philippines. However, being a tropical island and all, how about celebrating summer this December in an extraordinary waterpark that boasts pastel-colored lounges, gigantic inflatables, world-class facilities and magical rooms?

The dreamiest, most colorful and pinkest beach on Earth is about to open here in Tambuli Beach, Mactan Island, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. From the makers of Inflatable Islands—the iconic Pink Bali Lounge and the world-famous Unicorn Island—come The Happy Beach Boutique Resort set to open on Dec. 15.

Bringing one’s beach experience to a new level, the newest summer destination collaborated with several artists and designers to achieve its one-of-a-kind attraction—both on- and off-shore—including the Happy Jungle, Happy Boat, Bali Lounge, Floating Zoo and, of course, the Pink Pool.

The 4,500-square-meter Instagrammable paradise design starts with the Unicorn Island where one can step on a rainbow walk and enjoy the Slippery Slope, Baba’s Super Slide, The Wavy Dinosaur, Climby The Seaunicorn, Mini Jump and Fly. The waterpark also features new and originally designed inflatables like the Wrecking Ball, Leap of Faith, Woobly Bridge, Happy Swing and so much more. Everyone can take a colossal jump, flip, tumble and slide with a height of over 10 meters on its most epic inflatable called The Big One.

The other part of the inflatable island is a “floating zoo,” where animal cabanas (animal floaters) are located.

No worries. No animals were harmed in the making of this breathtaking waterpark.

After a day full of fun and games, one can casually lounge like Sharpay Evans (“High School Musical”)and sip one’s favorite summer drink at one of its colorful daybeds in the Happy Jungle lounge, or enjoy an overnight stay (or more) at any of its 16 boutique rooms called the Happy Room. All pink summer-themed rooms are equipped with one queen-sized bed, one double deck and pull-out beds that can accommodate up to six persons comfortably.

The most convenient way to get to the Happy Beach without a private ride is by taking a V-Hire from SM City Cebu going to Gaisano Island Mall, Lapu-Lapu City. From the mall, take another jeepney ride going to Maribago, Buyong Road. From there, sail your way to happiness by getting on its signature yellow and pink happy boats that will bring you to the waterpark.
