City councilor launches ‘One Bacolod’

FORMER Bacolod City Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue launched “One Bacolod” at the MassKara Chicken Inasal, B.S. Aquino Drive, Bacolod City on Friday, November 30.

Batapa-Sigue said “One Bacolod” is a vision, dream or like a template for the future of Bacolod City.

“I have committed to become the voice of this dream. I will reach out to every Bacolodnon to listen to them, to understand their aspirations and get their ideas so I can become an effective voice for Bacolod,” she said.

She added the people of Bacolod can be part of this vision.

Batapa-Sigue noted that everybody can join and suggest for the progress of the city.

“We formed this to call people to be one for something,” Batapa-Sigue added.

She said it’s part of her vision that the City Government should review all the ordinances and implement it.

“What we need to do is to immediately inventory these ordinances, seriously implement the most urgent and necessary to ensure the welfare of our citizens,” she added.

Batapa-Sigue disclosed that the “One Bacolod” also aims to address the traffic management, waste management, streetlights and road, public markets, and drainage and flooding problems. (MAP)
