HM EVENTS, a wedding and events planner in Cagayan de Oro City, presented its first bridal fair in the city, the Elegance and Class - A Bridal Fair, which took place at the event center of SM Downtown Premier from November 29 until December 2.

Elegance and Class - A Bridal Fair is a celebration of wedding suppliers, talents and industry leaders in Cagayan de Oro City.

It's a one-stop shop for brides and their grooms who plan to turn their dream wedding into a reality.

According to Mae Ann Hope Marquez of HM Events and the organizer of the Elegance and Class, the four-day bridal fair is composed of around 37 exhibitors which consist of coordinators, reception venue, designers, makeup artists, videographers, photographers, event stylist, invitation, cake or dessert, bridal car and others.

"This is the most comprehensive, meaning almost complete. Kasi we had an experience before (Because we had an experience before), some of our clients were from Iligan and Davao, and when they joined a bridal fair daw, may mga gusto sila na category na it’s not there naman (there’s a category they like but it’s no there)," Marquez said.

The exhibitors in the bridal fair include: One Happy Story, Dave Sabio Photography, ISG Print Ideas, Impression, Elegance by Bem, Accent Cagayan, September Blooms Flower Shoppe, Monday Cookie Treats Inc., Swirlz Desserts, Cakeistry CDO, Party Everywhere Mobile Car, DPS Catering, Photocrib CDO, Photobooth, Show Stoppers Videobooth, Amaya View CDO, Casa de Canitoan, Styled by Kimby's, Kevin Abdala Style and Creatives, HM Events, Weddings and Events by Odeizza, Michael Ho Events Styling and Coordinating, The Digital Eye, Brospage Videolab, Carmel Kho Ricarte Atelier, JDD Design's, among others.

"Actually, there are two reasons why you wanna join a bridal fair. Number 1 is for marketing. Because if you wanna market yourself, and you are gonna spend it alone, medyo mahal (a little bit pricy). So, this the reason why you will join a bridal fair because when there's a fair or an exhibit, expected na the marketing strategy is aggressive," Marquez shared.

"Second is, you really want to join a bridal fair or an exhibit because you want to have income or may mag down sa imoha," she added.

Marquez said they expect that the bridal fair will be helpful to the participating exhibitors in terms of marketing, creating noise, and bookings.

On the last day of the bridal fair, Marquez shared that all of the exhibitors will gather in Limketkai Luxe Hotel for an Exhibitors' Night.

"For us to really have a bond and build relationship. We don't want our relationship to end. Kasi pag ingress, all of us are stressed at the same time, we are really enjoying and having fun. So we want sana that the bond will continue," Marquez said.

With the success of the four-day bridal fair, Marquez is eyeing on doing the same event in March 2019.

"It’s not normal to have a bridal expo near end. But kami naman, we wanted to end 2018 with a bang and we wanted to start 2019 with a mas bigger ang imong exposure, so more aggressive," Marquez said.

"March is also a good start for 2019," she added.
