THE Supplemental Budget (SB) 2 of the City Government of Davao for 2018 in the amount of P618,316,444.36 was approved in its second reading last Monday, December 3.
Committee on finance, ways, and means and appropriations chairman City Councilor Danilo Dayanghirang proposed before the council the said amount, which consisted of general fund proper, development fund, and the economic enterprises.
The SB 2 for 2018 was sourced out mainly from Reversions of Appropriations in the total amount of P565,682,819.64.
Ranked second is the Unappropriated Surplus of 2017 in the amount of P33,702,418.23.
Another source of SB 2 is the liquidated damages in the total amount of P5,876,363.70. This covered January 1 to September 30 period.
Meanwhile, the committee report of Dayanghirang showed that 68 percent of the appropriations was proposed to be allocated to the development funds, including the non-infrastructure and infrastructure projects.
The general fund proper was proposed to be allocated 31 percent of the total SB 2, while one percent is for the economic enterprises.
The economic enterprise’s proposed budget of P5,550,000 is for the payment of Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) Incentive of personnel under the said appropriations.
Dayanghirang will be presenting the said budget for third and final reading in the City Council session next Monday, December 10.
