3 MisOr units tie up to protect environment

AT LEAST three offices in the provincial government have forged partnership to protect the province's natural resources and fight environmental abuse.

The Provincial Agriculture Office (Pagro), Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (Penro) recently convened to draw up plans to protect the environment and implement the coastal resources management program of the province.

A planning and consultation workshop was conducted by the three Capitol departments together with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and Macajalar Development Bay Alliance (MBDA) in late November.

Concerns affecting the province's marine resources and other environmental issues were raised and discussed.
