Construction worker nabbed in drug bust

A FOREMAN in a construction site was arrested by local authorities for allegedly peddling illegal drugs during a drug bust in Barangay San Isidro, City of San Fernando.

Chief Inspector Jan Carl Gopez identified the suspect as Eugene Santos, 36, a resident of Barangay Magliman, City of San Fernando.

Gopez said Santos was arrested after a police poseur buyer successfully bought a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) in exchange for P500.

Upon declaration of the arrest, Santos peacefully surrendered to police officers and also yielded one more sachet of shabu which was immediately confiscated from his possession, Gopez added.

Gopez added that the suspect was already charged for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and is currently detained at this town’s police detention facility.
