HPG to launch ‘ride for a cause’ on December 8

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- The Highway Patrol Group III (HPG)-Central Luzon and the Regional Advisory Council will launch “Ride for a Cause” Saturday, December 8.

“Divided We Ride, United We Arrive,” is the theme of the project, said Senior Superintendent Kerby John Kraft, HPG-Central Luzon regional officer.

Kraft said the beneficiaries are the burned and crippled children at the Philippine Orthopedic Hospital and Philippine General Hospital, both in Metro Manila.

He said all motorcycle riders all over Luzon such us Ilocandia Leg, Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog Leg, and EDSA leg are expected to participate in the said project.

Participants of the big bike (400 and above) and under bone (below 400cc) will start at Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon parade grounds in Camp Olivas in the City of San Fernando and will then proceed to the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center in Olongapo City.

Registration fee for big bike is P2,000 while for under bone is P500.

Kraft said HPG will give participants HPG belt buckle, baller or sticker.

He said they are expecting 700 participants in the said cause.

Assembly time at the PRO-Central Luzon parade grounds will be at 5:30 a.m. for big bikes while 6:30 a.m. for under bone, Kraft said.

Philippine National Police chief Oscar Albayalde will be the guest of honor and speaker during the launching. (Ric Sapnu)
