MARK Twain once said that, “The two most important days in your life are the day you were born, and the day you find out why.” What is my why?
I am a grade five home-schooled boy, and there’s so much in my vast plate right now. I’ve been learning piano, math, science and other things intensively. Despite the new knowledge I acquire every day, I still realized that learning never stops. You cannot out-learn the food in your plate.
I think this is my why.
My why is to keep learning in all its sweetness and its pain. Then, it is to share my knowledge with other people to make a better place. This is not be famous or anything, but it is to help.
For instance, I learn different piano pieces and sometimes it’s difficult. However, whenever I master the piece, it becomes beautiful for others to listen.
There will always be greater and lesser people than you in one way or another. This is why we shouldn’t judge other people. We grow and learn together, and we share those learning to the world.
We still have a long way to go. More things have to be discovered. We might have a lot of discoveries already, but there’s so much to learn ... maybe even infinite. So I learn as much as I can. I learn science. I learn art. I realized that in the realm of science and art, we see something beautiful.
As a grade 5 kid, this is my purpose in life. You see, there’s so much more to life than what people think.-- William Matthew Lim
