Davao Region grads dominate in LET

DAVAO Region graduates of Bachelor of Elementary Education dominated the list of top ten in the September 2018 Licensure Examination for Teachers of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep)-Davao and Tagum graduates, Rhea Joy Yebes Genson and Mariel Cataluña Saladaga ranked Top 1 in Elementary Education LET garning an 89.80 percent average.

“I feel so blessed and overwhelming kaayo ang grasya na gihatag sa atoa sa Ginoo (The blessings of the lord was overwhelming).” Genson said during an interview with Sunstar Davao Friday. Also placed in fourth spot was Mary Grace Legaspi of Arriesgado College Foundation in Tagum City who tied up with students from the Agusan Del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology and UP-Diliman, garning an average of 88.80 percent.

Angel Rose Ore Alcala of Usep-Davao and Jessah Rabaja Ferras of the University of Mindanao (UM)-Tagum both placed the top five with 88.60 percent average.

In sixth place are Ellenmae Marcojos Comayas from Usep-Tagum and Fellisze Alejandria Culaste Crispin of Usep-Davao sharing place with with a student of Sultan Kudarat State University in Tacurong with average of 88.40 percent.

Emily Labastida Coquilla of Usep-Tagum and Mitzi Marin Bautista Tuquib both from Usep Tagum, and Jilliene Samantha Castillo Napil and Fretchil Basta Tadle both from UM-Davao, were placed in top seven with 88.20 percent along with two students from different universities.

Jhea May Crumb Damo of UM-Digos occupied the top eighttogether with a student from Luzon garnering with 88.00 percent.

Elyssa Jhone Balabat Cardente of Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology in Davao del Norte, Perlie Joy Pacatang Peresores of Holy Cross of Davao College, Mary Jane Planteras Suan of Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology, together with four other students from different universities in Visayas and Luzon were placed on the ninth spot earning an average of 87.80 percent.

The top ten is occupied by Chares Mae Arador Ramos of Cor Jesu College in Digos, Davao del Sur, with other four students from different regions, garnering an average of 87.60 percent.

All in all, more than half of the students who placed at the Top 10 are graduates from Davao region schools, with 16 students out of 31.
