Abrigo: Bachelor management rectifies erring driver

AS PROMISED in my Friday column, I am giving equilibrium to the management of Bachelor Express. So, here is their reply in verbatim:

Dear Sir Danny Abrigo,

Greetings of joyous holiday season!

This is from the management of Bachelor Express, Inc. in response to your letter complaint dated December 3, 2018 against our Driver Dario N. Piastro. We would like to apologize for what our driver's conduct. We, the management, do not tolerate our employees especially our drivers and conductors of any act of unbecoming. Rest assured that this matter will be dealt with, seriously, and the driver will be penalized, accordingly.

We would like to extend our gratitude for sending us a letter informing us about this matter. Thank you, sir.

Sincerely yours,

Jerry A. Gesulga

Asst. Administrative Manager

Bachelor Express, Inc.

To substantiate the honest assurance of BEI to police their employees, Mr. Gesulta furnished me a copy of the Notice to Investigate, requesting the subjected driver to explain in writing and or present his flesh and bones to the management with a representative from his Labor Union if needed, if only to be heard in accordance to the labor code.

The prompt action of the BEI management is an infallible index that the company and its policies are good. But just like any organization, there are erring employees. And it is wrong to burn the whole house just to kill a mouse.

To you Dario good luck! I am not grinding axe against you, I don’t hold grudge either, but I cannot appreciate the text message I received asking forgiveness if that was from you. You asked forgiveness for the mess and explained “Byahe ra akong gipakaon sa ako pamilya.” Where was this adage when you put our lives in danger along that zigzag road of Nabunturan that night of November 30? With your work attitude and arrogance, I can bet with my two balls and you must realize that even the most broke funeral parlors will never allow you to drive their hearse to protect the fate of your corpse passenger!
