GOVERNMENT operatives have arrested, in a manhunt operation, one of the most wanted person in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported on Sunday, December 9.
Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested wanted person as Elly Guhitia, 44, a former security guard and resident of Logpond village, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Galvez said Guhitia was arrested around 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 8, in the village of Poblacion, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.
Galvez said the suspect is listed as the number seven most wanted person in Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay.
She said Guhitia has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of robbery in band with P100,000 recommended bail issued by the court in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
She said Guhitia was placed under the custody of the police in Siay for proper disposition.
