BALLETCENTER Cebu has kept the “finest” in the performing arts alive since 1951. “The Nutcracker” is one masterpiece Cebu does not get tired of watching. Again, it performed to full houses at the SM Seaside City (Nov. 3 and 4) and Ayala Center Cebu’s Cinema One (Dec. 7 and 8).
In a lighter vein, a “fun fellowship” lunch was hosted by adviser Ramon Sebastian at his residence for the University of San Jose-Recoletos’ Dramatics and Cultural Ensemble and Amparito L. Lhuillier Educational Foundation alumni. The food, personally prepared by sister Chit, was so tasty. Her specialties, the lengua estofado and sotanghon guisado, were easy favorites.
The alumni had a sing-along in Ramon’s high-tech music room; games and mimicry contests in the veranda and the garden; and lunch at the spacious dining area. So many prizes and goodies were given away by the gracious host. A brief meeting for a community-based concert was also part of the agenda.
