JOE NOYNAY went undefeated in 2018 after capping off his year with a unanimous decision victory over journeyman Junny Salogaol in Paranaque City. Noynay, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia-Pacific Youth super featherweight champion, got the nod of all three judges, 80-72, 80-72 and 80-72. The 23-year-old Noynay, a native of Bogo City but now based in Manila, improved to 16-2-1 with five knockouts, while Salogaol dropped 13-15-5 with 12 knockouts. (EKA)
