Bus terminal dispatcher sold ‘shabu’

A 37-YEAR-OLD bus dispatcher was caught for trying to sell six sachets of “shabu” outside the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) on N. Bacalso Ave., Cebu City on Monday morning, Dec. 10.

CSBT Manager Jonathan Tumulak identified the suspect as Dominic Costillos Gonzaga, a resident of Barangay Calajoan, Minglanilla.

Gonzaga divulged the names of four bus drivers and five conductors who often bought shabu from him.

Tumulak said they did not allow the suspect to enter the premises of CSBT after receiving reports on his involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Gonzaga admitted to Tumulak that he is a pusher. He sourced his supply of shabu from Barangay Duljo Fatima.

Before his arrest, Gonzaga was seen standing near the entrance of the CSBT and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7. He was caught by CSBT personnel pocketing sachets of shabu.

“We doubted his actions. So we told him to show what was inside his pocket and we found the contraband,” Tumulak said in Cebuano.

Gonzaga was turned over to the Carbon Police Station. He will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (from SCG of SuperBalita Cebu/KAL)
