Transfer of NegOcc Capitol offices to PNB cancelled

NEGROS Occidental Provincial Acting Administrator Lucille Gelvolea said that the plan to transfer some offices from the Provincial Administration Center (PAC) to the building of the Philippine National Bank (PNB) has been cancelled.

Gelvolea said the office spaces at the PNB building along Lacson Street is very expensive.

She said that the Capitol will just look for vacant office spaces at the Negros First CyberCentre, also along Lacson Street, and St. Francis Building along Araneta Street.

The other offices will be transferred at the Benjamin Hall in 4th Street.

The clearing of PAC will give way to the construction of the P1.6 billion mixed-use building.

Gelvolea said by January 2019, PAC will be cleared and that Dynamic Builders may start the implementation of the project.

The affected Capitol offices will transfer to the new PAC building, which is worth P900 million, once it's completed in two years, Gelvolea added. (TDE)
