ONE of the popular tourist sites that we visited in Bali, Indonesia was the Ubud village.

The village is famous for the Puri Saren Royal Palace, Pura Taman Sarawasti Temple, and the Ubud Art Market. The three are in close proximity to one another. Therefore, you do not need to walk far to visit one.

It is definitely one of the more touristy locations in Bali as the area, where the temple, palace, and market, is just filled with people from different nationalities.

The village being described as an “art village” is also quite fitting considering how colorful the place is. Craftsmen from neighboring villages bring their products here and sell it at the art market.

Ubud Art Market is your one-stop shop for the pasalubong you may need.

The art market not only has the commonly-bought pasalubong items like magnets, t-shirts, and key chains but it also has items that showcase how colorful Bali is. Here you will find paintings from local artists that ranges from the one-of-the-kind works to those created for mass production. There are also Balinese masks and puppets that are being sold here.

The Pura Taman Sarawasti Temple was really beautiful because of the ponds at the temple's courtyard that are filled with lilies.

Both destinations are also very Instagram-worthy for your fashion or OOTD shoots.

Due to the number of tourists dropping by in the area, you will also find local and international apparel and footwear brands here. Go for the local brands to support the local businesses in Bali.

If you are looking for a place to chill after hours of shopping, the area is lined with cafes and restaurants that you can choose from -- a good cup of coffee, Balinese cuisine, or Western cuisine, among others.

The Ubud Village is a must visit when you come to Bali. Whether it is for striking Instagram posts or pasalubong for your loved ones, you can have it here.
