Let there be lights!

WHERE to see the “sea-riffic” 49-foot Christmas tree, but at SM Seaside City Cebu, where the feel and mood is “under the sea” with underwater denizens like corals, jellyfish, pearls and shells! For total ambience, beside the tree is a 27-foot cake dome, where shoppers can see, via an LED wall, a video of the famous whale shark (butanding).

That’s not all. As you are in awe with the season’s sights and sounds, let’s not forget the not-so-lucky ones who can’t join in on the fun. SM Seaside is inviting shoppers to purchase SM Bears of Joy. For only P200, one can avail of a pair of bears where one goes to the shopper, and the other is shared with a favorite charity.

To make the act more personalized, the customer may write his/her name on a card attached to the bear.

So, enjoy the “sea-nery” and share your blessings only at SM Seaside!

For the first time, the region’s premier lifestyle destination, Ayala Center Cebu, has partnered with The Walt Disney Company Philippines for “Reimagine the Magic: A Festival of Lights.” This is an audio-visual display of characters twinkling and dancing to Disney tunes. With The Terraces as venue, lights and sounds director Voltaire de Jesus, crafted the displays, while former Hongkong Disneyland musical director Rony Fortich, arranged the Disney medleys.

The result was indeed, pure magic! “We aim to awaken everyone’s inner child and bring forth this magic for generations to come,” said Bong Dy, Ayala Center Cebu’s general manager.

To sustain that Yuletide feel, another highlight was renowned Christmas songwriter Jose Mari Chan, who weaved his own magic through songs, an awesome pair from Balletcenter, and a lovable choir that warmed the hearts of all!

Catch the “Festival of Lights” every 30 minutes from 6 to 10 p.m. until Jan. 20, 2019.
