OVER 1,000 employees of the City Government of Bacolod will receive P25,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus.
The City Council approved around P30 million appropriation during its regular session on Monday, December 10.
Councilor Caesar Distrito, chairperson of the committee on finance, said on Wednesday, December 12 that under the Department of Budget and Management Circular No. 2017-3, it stated that every local government unit is allowed only to provide a maximum of P25,000.
“Because the city has enough savings, we approved and grant the maximum allowed under the law,” he said.
He added the regular employees, plantilla casual, co-terminus such as executive assistants and technical assistants including elected city officials would also be entitled to P25,000 each.
Distrito noted that they approved the budget with a collatilla so that the employees will not be victimized by the loan sharks.
He pointed out that the employee’s payroll should be individual and their bonus should be released to them directly to ensure that they will go home with gifts for their family.
He said the employees can now start to process their payroll. (MAP)
