THE City of Bago scored major awards during the Pagdayaw 2018 Regional Excellence in Local Governance awarding ceremony by Department of Interior and Local Government on Wednesday, December 12 in Iloilo City.
Bago was adjudged as champion in Economic Governance for its Rice Development Program.
In Environmental Governance, the Kahoy Sang Kabuhi Project was the first runner-up.
The City’s Disaster Resiliency Youth Volunteers was declared the second runner-up in Excellence in Social Governance.
The said awards committee also recognized Bago and its Rice Development Program as the Most Innovative Best Practice in Economic Governance.
Overall in the City Category, Bago was cited as 2nd best performing city in Western Visayas.
Bago City officials led by Mayor Nicholas Yulo received the award for the city. (PR)
